Students were invited to write an essay to win lunch with the author and a Barnes & Noble gift certificate. All GCC students participating in A Tale for Three Counties were eligible to enter.
Students were asked to select one of the following questions for their essay:
- The title of this novel is quoted from an Emily Dickinson poem. How do you see characters in the book rising?
- The novel is told from the perspective of four distinct voices. Which voices did you feel were easier to relate to and understand than others and why?
