Students were invited to write an essay and win lunch with the author. All GCC students participating in A Tale for Three Counties were eligible to enter.
Students were asked to select one of the following questions for their essay:
1) Discuss the impact reading and writing have on the life of one or more of the main characters lives. Or, discuss the impact of reading and writing on your own life.
2) For each of the four main characters discuss how the outbreak of the Civil War permanently alters their lives.
3) If you could meet one of the main characters, who would it be and why.
